Since I found no answers by asking teachers to what should have been easy enough for those in chemistry ..I realized that people can learn retaining what is known but not be able to truly understand what they know. Example ..I questioned why you can have several atoms combine and they will move all over the place and yet a rock you remains does not move from its spot .. simple enough is that a rock the atoms coming together each time loses energy they share electrons so on so by the time said rock is built up there is quite a bit of i shall say dead weight and so not energetic enough to move around . That is the explanation .. and we use this example in many other parts of thought as they arise.
